How to use Pixeva

Create an event, upload the album, publish a gallery link, and send photos on WhatsApp. Each section below is the order a studio usually follows.

Create an account

  1. 1Open Sign up free and enter your name, email, a 10-digit mobile number, and a password of at least 8 characters.
  2. 2After signup you land on My Plan. A new account is the free Starter plan: 1 GB of storage and 1 event.
  3. 3The mobile number is required before any PayU payment, including a plan upgrade or WhatsApp credit recharge.
  4. 4Free accounts see an Upgrade button in the header, to the left of the storage meter. It opens My Plan.

Create an event

  1. 1From the dashboard, open My Events and choose Create Event.
  2. 2Enter the event name and date. Location, description, and type (Wedding, Corporate, Birthday, and others) are optional.
  3. 3Save the event. Pixeva opens the Gallery tab for that event.
  4. 4A new event starts as a draft. Guests cannot open the gallery until you publish it from the event Settings tab.

Upload photos

  1. 1Open the event and stay on Gallery.
  2. 2Use the Public tab to upload photos guests may browse, or the Private tab for photos that should only go to a matched guest.
  3. 3Drop files or choose them. JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, RAW, MP4, and MOV are accepted, up to 100 MB each.
  4. 4Wait until processing finishes. A photo marked AI is ready for face search.
  5. 5Storage used appears in the header as used space against your plan limit. Uploads stop when the account is full.

Public and private photos

Public photos appear in the guest gallery and in face search. Private photos stay out of the public gallery and are meant for matched delivery. WhatsApp photos are used in WhatsApp flows and also appear in the public gallery.

  1. 1Select one photo, or use Select All on the current tab.
  2. 2Choose Make public or Make private. Every selected photo moves together.
  3. 3Open the menu on a single photo to set it as the hero image, move it, or delete it.
  4. 4Download or Delete in the same bar applies to the current selection.

Sub-events

  1. 1On the Gallery page, add sub-events for parts of the day, such as ceremony, sangeet, or reception.
  2. 2Choose a sub-event before upload so new photos land in that group, or select photos later and use Move to sub-event.
  3. 3Filter the grid with the chips: All photos, a sub-event name, or No sub-event.

Share the gallery

  1. 1Open the event Settings tab.
  2. 2Set Gallery Status to Active (Public) and save. Draft keeps the album hidden. Expired closes it.
  3. 3When the event is published, View Gallery appears at the top of the event. It opens the public album in a new tab.
  4. 4Copy that page address and send it to the client. The address looks like pixeva.in/gallery/your-event.
  5. 5Guests see public photos, can search with a selfie, and can download. Private photos are not listed there.

WhatsApp delivery

WhatsApp is activated by the Pixeva team. Contact support from the account email to turn it on. Each photo handed back for a WhatsApp send uses 1 credit. A welcome image also uses 1 credit.

  1. 1Open the event WhatsApp tab and write the welcome message. Include the event name in the message, then save it.
  2. 2Upload the welcome image for that event.
  3. 3Guests message the studio WhatsApp number or scan the welcome QR. A selfie returns their photos.
  4. 4Check credits on the WhatsApp page in the dashboard. Remaining credits are purchased credits minus credits already used.
  5. 5Recharge from that page or from My Plan. Payment opens on PayU, and the credits are added when the payment succeeds.
  6. 6A 1 time event includes 100 credits when you upgrade. Growth includes 100 credits for each paid month. Pro includes 500 credits for each paid month.

Guest uploads

  1. 1Open Guest Upload on the event.
  2. 2Copy the link or show the QR code at the venue so guests can send their own photos.
  3. 3New uploads wait for approval. Approve the ones that belong in the album. Approved photos become visible in the gallery.

Photographer uploads

  1. 1Open Photographer Upload and set a 6-digit PIN, then save it.
  2. 2Copy the photographer link. The second shooter enters the PIN before uploading.
  3. 3Review the incoming photos and approve them as public or private, or reject them.

Guests and selection

  1. 1On Guests, add a person with name and a 10-digit phone. Email is optional. You can also import a CSV with the columns name, phone, and email.
  2. 2Selection shows photos guests have marked. Use it when the client is shortlisting frames.

Design and branding

  1. 1On the event Design tab, pick a layout (Grid, Masonry, Justified, or Slideshow), a theme, and an accent colour.
  2. 2Upload an event logo there if this album should carry its own mark.
  3. 3Studio-wide brands, social links, and watermark live in Settings → Branding.
  4. 4Content holds the written copy for the album. Analytics shows how the published gallery is being used.

Studio website

  1. 1Publish the event first. Then turn Website on in the event header, or in event Settings under Events website.
  2. 2Only published events with Website on appear on your studio page.
  3. 3Open Settings → Profile to copy the website link or the embed code. Paste the embed on the studio site. Each thumbnail opens that event’s public gallery.

Plans, storage, and payments

  1. 1Open Settings → My Plan to upgrade. Starter is free. 1 time event is ₹999 for 50 GB, one event, live for 3 months. Growth is ₹999 a month for 50 GB and 3 events a month. Pro is ₹2,999 a month for 200 GB and 5 events a month.
  2. 2Growth and Pro renew automatically for the period you choose. 6 months is 10% off the monthly price and Yearly is 20% off. PayU charges that total and repeats it on the same schedule.
  3. 3Enterprise billing is set by Pixeva: a custom amount and a frequency of every month, 3 months, 6 months, or year. The account then starts that subscription from My Plan.
  4. 4A longer term sets the expiry for that many months and adds the WhatsApp credits for each month in the term.
  5. 5Settings → Payments lists the current plan, expiry, and each payment. Open a payment for a receipt. A receipt is a payment record. It is not a tax invoice.
  6. 6Add a mobile number in Settings before paying if signup did not already store one.
